Jess has been working within the Equine industry for more than 10 years and aside from running a successful business at Wadari Stables, her long term aim is to gain team selection and achieve International representation of her country. Jess is continually working toward achieving her goal of competing at the Olympic and World Equestrian Games for Australia. Jess has a solid background in horse management and coaching, holding qualifications in both Horse Industry Operations Management and EA NCAS Introductory Coaching thus providing her a solid theoretical knowledge to put behind her years of practical experience, allowing Jess to prepare and maintain her competition horses to the highest possible standard.

In years past, Jess has taken the opportunity to work for some of the country’s most established riders in order to gain experience in both competition and horse management at the elite level. She was employed by Tim Boland throughout the 2012 London Olympic period, and had sole responsibility for travelling from Australia and throughout England with his reserve listed team horse. Jess has also previously been the competition groom for top Australian rider Craig Barrett for a period of six years, attending the major events across the country, competing her own horses and gaining tuition from Craig at the same time. In addition, Jess has previously worked for Lee Freedman Racing, The Hong Kong Jockey Club and other International event riders. Her experience and knowledge has been building from these opportunities, and has accumulated to the point where she is highly qualified to compete and manage all levels of competition, pleasure and racehorses.
